Blc. Mem. Anna Balmores 'Carmela'
This Cattleya hybrid is a croos between Blc. Mem. Robert Straight and Blc. Good News. This clone was created by and named after Carmela Orchids. It has large white 5-inch flowers with red lip and slight red flaring on petals. Carmela Orchids is one of my favorite orchid vendors.
This is a spectacular flower don't you think?

Hey Jay, I fixed the link. I don't have a greenhouse :( I believe I got this pic from Carmela. I don't have the sapce to grow this one as it becomes quite large. I plan to post pics of various orchids that are noteworthy, species included. I have a couple I bought from Geoffrey Beene's collection that are blooming. Unfortunately, he lost the tags so they're "no ID."
You grow orchids too? Cool, I new were were birds of a feather, lol. Sure, send me pics of your orchids with the name. I'll gladly post them.
